Position Summary

Harland Clarke, a Vericast business, is looking to add a Production Operator (DCIS) to the 2nd shift team. Typically works Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

  • Load DCIS feeder with stock, tags, and duplicates. 
  • Inspect finished print products for quality to include damaged documents, double tags, duplicates, alignment, and name verification. 
  • Gather and transfer finished product from conveyor to designated areas. 
  • Perform minor maintenance functions such as cleaning print sensors, cleaning belts, inspecting hoses for leaks, and inspecting for worn parts. 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Decision Making: Mechanical troubleshooting, production/priority decisions relating to maintenance and quality

Qualifications

Experience / Skills / Abilities Required: 

Minimum 0 - 3 years previous machine operating or production experience in a team environment preferred.

Average to above average mechanical ability helpful.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions: Manufacturing Environment - walking, standing, bending, twisting, grasping, reaching above and below shoulder, lifting up to 35 pounds on a regular basis and up to 70 pounds on occasion. Must wear hearing protection on the production floor.

Additional Information

  • Hourly Pay Rate: $16.00 +, plus $1.25 hourly shift differential (2nd shift)
  • Employer subsidized on-site medical clinic
