Suntory Global Spirits has committed to a 5-stage Global Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Process to support the Brand House Operating model. The S&OP Process is an enterprise-wide integrated business planning process (IBP) to manage the delivery of business goals and commitments over the 3-year strategic planning process. Continuing to evolve & mature our S&OP Process globally to a cross-functionally-aligned IBP process that consistently engages key functions of Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain and Finance will require an on-going transformational program to lead change across the organization at all levels of leadership, including the ELT. The Director, Global S&OP Brand House & PMR is a critical role as the leader of the first step in the monthly S&OP cycle – Brand House Portfolio Review.
The Director, Global S&OP Brand House & PMR is a Sr. Management level position who has experience working in a global, matrixed organization implementing Product/Portfolio Review. This position will be accountable for leading & driving the step change in the maturity levelof the Global S&OP Program to drive continuous improvement by leveraging best practices. In addition, this position must be knowledgeable in the following:
- Brand Strategy
- Portfolio management (Innovation, SKU Rationalization, etc.)
- Process management, transformation & implementation
The Director, Global S&OP Brand House & PMR will lead and provide direction and collaborate with the S&OP Regional Leaders as well as the Global Brand Houses to evolve & implement a standard playbook across the Brand Houses. They will be responsible for understanding the key participants in the process, including cross-functional partners, and expert on leading through others. They will have accountability to not only successful implementation & evolution of S&OP, but facilitation of the Portfolio
Review meetings & escalations to the ELT thru Global Integrated Reconciliation & Joint Executive Review.
The Director, Global S&OP Brand House & PMR is a key participant on the PMR process as the interphase between the Brand House and the R&D team to support the Innovation pipeline to deliver our ambition to becoming the most admired Premium Spirits Company. This position will have shared goals, business metrics and KPIs with the S&OP Leadership in all regions. These goals, business metrics and KPIs will be defined in the agreed-to Global S&OP Process transformation roadmap.
Role Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Include the Following
• Brand House Portfolio Review: Work with the Brand Houses on playbook
implementation, step change the maturity level of the Brand House Portfolio Reviews incorporating KPI’s and best practices, focusing on the desired outputs of the Portfolio Review meeting & creating an information flow process that works mutually for Brand Houses and Global S&OP; influencing cross-functional teams on content creation to drive transparent dialog & decision-making
- Process improvements based on insights from KPIs and external best practices
- Organization change mgmt. defining new ways of working for Brand Houses & attendees
- Incorporation of Global playbook consistently across the Global Brand Houses
• Global Integrated Reconciliation & Joint Executive Review: Summarize decisions, actions, and escalations as an output of BHPRs to provide transparency and awareness globally; Lead review with executive leadership thru these forums on a monthly cadence
• Program Management & Facilitation: Lead the Brand House Portfolio Reviews and Brand
House Portfolio Executive Review including: document decisions & follow ups, distribute to
attendees, create skeleton deck for next cycle meeting, send to everyone owning a slide for next
cycle, capture actions / decisions, update decks with relevant information, follow up on pre-read
submission deadlines, maintain list of volume allocation changes & cascade as needed, finalize
deck & distribute pre-read
• Best Practices & External Benchmarking: Developing and leveraging a professional network
to identify best practices as an essential approach to continuously improve Suntory Global Spirits
portfolio review management. Assess Suntory Global Spirits portfolio management capabilities
against external benchmarks as a critical input to drive continuous improvement.
• Continuous Improvement: Leveraging business metrics and KPIs to define improvement
opportunities. Support the development of the business case required for project approval,
which will include IT and resource investments.
This position will report to the VP Global S&OP and Fulfillment. This position will work directly with the Brand House MD’s on the evolution of the S&OP process.

Qualifications
• 10+ years of demonstrated operational performance in leading S&OP Process for a major Business Unit for a CPG or Spirits company
• Strong knowledge in Portfolio Mgmt. and Brand Strategy best practices with proven application of these practices
• Ability to challenge assumptions & influence up thru multiple levels of leadership, including ELT , Experience with external market trend / consumer data (Nielsen, NABCA, etc.) strongly preferred
• Demonstrated performance in leading business transformation projects specific to Marketing or Commercialization & experience with Project Management
• Demonstrated flexibility in easily moving between strategic thinking and tactical execution
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with globally dispersed cross-functional teams to deliver results
• Strong leadership qualities and organizational skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and assignments; Ability to manage multiple projects & prioritize competing priorities
• Comfortable navigating high change, unstructured environments that require creative approaches to influence and communicate to a broad base of cross- functional stakeholders and peers with varying stakeholder needs

The salary range for this role, based in Chicago, is $165,000-$180,000 along with an annual bonus, 401K match, profit sharing, and medical and wellness benefits. The salary range is commensurate with the candidate’s location, experience, and skillset. The range will vary if outside of this location.
