    At a Glance

    Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join the Pinnacle Architectural Lighting Team in Denver, CO. The primary role of the sales engineer is to provide engineering design support to customers requesting product(s) not offered in the company's standard catalogue. Additionally, a sales engineer will provide internal technical support to all departments and customers. Duties include product creation using Solidworks, BOM creation, electrical applications troubleshooting, prototyping, customer interfacing, and production support.

    What Will You Do?

  • Sales support (60%).
    • Provide technical information to internal/external
    • Create engineering drawings for customer
    • Field pre-sales questions and specifications
    • Support service and warranty
    • Facilitate training on Pinnacle product
    • Present to clients
  • Technical Knowledge/Engineering (40%)
    • Use Infor (ERP system) to create bills of material
    • Generate custom designs to accommodate customer needs
    • Work with vendors to ensure quality and manufacturability
    • Provide assistance with applications including, but not limited to the following:
    • Lamps/Ballasts
    • Battery/GTD/Emergency
    • Sensors/Controls/Wiring
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical data organization
  • Provide support to the production floor


  • Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
    • 2+ years Mechanical Engineering in a fast-paced environment. (Internship/College experience accepted)

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • 3D CAD Skills (Solidworks preferred)
    • Mechanical assembly design
    • Lighting design preferred

    • Sheet metal design preferred
    • BOM creation experience
    • Electrical wiring knowledge preferred
    • Highly collaborative and able to work in a team based environment.
    • Able to deal professionally with internal customers, co-workers and regulatory personnel.
    • Able to multi-task in a high speed environment
    • Demonstrated problem solving capability
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
