Job Description

  • 2nd Shift: 7:30pm - 6:00am
  • Weekend shifts required for shutdown maintenance
  • Some Overtime & Holidays Required as Business Dictates
  • Hourly Pay Rate: $32.00 - $34.00 DOE Shift Differential $1.25

JOB SUMMARY

Performs and leads the electrical and mechanical maintenance of automated industrial machinery in a safe and efficient manner. Supports production to achieve or exceed performance goals. Acts as a work leader for all of maintenance and engineering on assigned shift.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead: Develops and leads maintenance team to effectively support all operations. Provides training and coaching to new maintenance technicians and inspects their work. Performs inventory control of repair parts and related equipment. 30%
  • Troubleshooting & Repairs: Responds in a timely manner to all maintenance requests. Inspects machinery for potential problems on a daily basis. Documents unresolved issues for follow-up/repair during shut-down maintenance cycle. 25%
  • Preventative Maintenance (PM): Performs PM activities. Adheres to and leads a quality PM Program to maximize equipment life and operational efficiencies. Ensures that all equipment has the proper safety devices/protection, is safe to operate and proper housekeeping practices are implemented. 25%
  • Compliance: Maintains the facility in compliance with local, state, and federal codes and company policies. Follows all safety initiatives and ensures safe working conditions; (e.g., OSHA, Hazcom, Hazardous energy standards, machine guarding, etc.). and follow all safety regulations and job instructions to perform primary job duties. 15%
  • Administrative/Housekeeping: Performs housekeeping duties required of maintenance staff including work area clean-up, machine, and equipment clean-up, sweeping production floor after clean-up and various other general housekeeping duties as assigned. Other duties as assigned. 5%

Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Vocational / Technical Degree in Electromechanical or Machine Automation. (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE

  • 3 - 5 years Electro-mechanical experience (Required)
  • 3 - 5 years machine networking experience (Preferred)
  • Extensive hands-on experience and detailed knowledge of Industrial mechanical and electrical machines and systems.
  • Computer hardware and software, specifically industrial controls and related I/O's.

CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSURES

  • Powered Industrial Truck Certification (Preferred)

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Work in a Lead capacity: ability to organize work, people, and materials.
  • Broad knowledge of the Maintenance Technician field.
  • Proficient in performing and leading the maintenance on automated industrial machinery.
  • Able to diagnose equipment faults and malfunctions.
  • Able to read, understand and comprehend electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Ability to speak and communicate effectively utilizing the English language.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills. Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports.
  • Ability to work a schedule with call-in and overtime duties.

EQUIPMENT/SOFTWARE UTILIZED

  • Strong Computer literacy: Windows, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and miscellaneous applications, including but not limited to HxGN (infor) EAM and Oracle. 

COMMUNICATION AND CONTACTS

• Communicate with plant personnel, plant leadership, and corporate resources.
• Informs leaders and other technicians of pertinent information and communicates to
plant personnel, leadership, and other departments, as necessary


DECISION MAKING

Often make decisions in conjunction with department supervisors to shut down equipment, schedule repairs, request for service.

Additional Information

Hourly Pay Rate: $32.00 - $34.00 DOE with Shift Differential $1.25
