Job Summary:

Allied World is seeking an experienced and hands-on Tech Lead to join our Platforms and Engineering team, focusing on leading platform initiatives that leverage advanced AI capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Generative AI (Gen-AI), Machine Learning (ML), and hands-on development experience with Python, LangChain, Large Language Models (LLMs), and RAG pipelines.

As a Tech Lead in our Platforms and Engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical vision and contributing to the growth of our AI and ML capabilities. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative AI projects, champion impactful initiatives, and lead AI Engineering Team. Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership
- Design, develop, and maintain AI/ML frameworks and platforms to standardize and optimize AI utilization across the organization.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AI and ML to inform strategy development and ensure competitiveness.
- Direct the exploration and implementation of new AI technologies and methodologies, including Generative AI

Platform Development
- Lead the development of core platform services integrating Gen-AI, AI, and ML capabilities.
- Design and develop advanced AI solutions using Python, leveraging LangChain for building applications powered by LLMs.
- Build and optimize RAG pipelines using vector databases and embeddings to handle large amounts of structured and unstructured data.

Hands-on Development
- Utilize hands-on development experience with LLMs, including APIs and models from Hugging Face such as Meta's LLAMA models.
- Develop and deploy AI models and algorithms to support real-time and low-latency applications.
- Continuously monitor and optimize AI models to ensure accurate and reliable results.

Cloud and Infrastructure
- Demonstrate strong working knowledge of various AWS services including S3, APIs, RDS, and OpenSearch.
- Ensure the scalability and performance of the platform by leveraging AWS services and infrastructure as code (Terraform).

Team Building and Leadership
- Establish and scale a high-performing AI team, providing technical leadership and setting clear deliverables.
- Mentor and grow team members, helping them evolve in AI and ML.

Solution Development and Implementation
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain frameworks and platforms to leverage AI and ML across the company.
- Collaborate with the team to produce comprehensive technical documentation and manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Participate in automation, monitoring, and alerting strategies to ensure the reliability and efficiency of AI systems

Skills and Requirements:

·        Passion for AI and ML: Strong passion for Gen-AI, AI, and ML, with a commitment to staying updated on industry trends.

·        Hands-on Development Experience:
- Python programming skills and experience with ML libraries such as Transforms , PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Experience with LangChain for developing LLM-powered applications.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs using APIs and Hugging Face models like Meta's LLAMA.
- Experience building RAG pipelines using vector databases and embeddings.

·       Cloud Services: Strong working knowledge of AWS services including S3, APIs, RDS, and OpenSearch.

·       Leadership and Communication: Proven leadership skills, excellent communication, and problem-solving abilities.

·       DevOps Practices: Proficiency in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
