Your Opportunity

We are looking for an engineer with experience in automating and streamlining build and deployment processes. In this role, you will be responsible for improving, streamlining, and building out our continuous integration, automated testing, and automatic deployment (continuous delivery) capabilities to the Informatica multi-cloud platform. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and your technical skill will be very critical in ensuring we build and deploy quality Cloud Infrastructure.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an engineer who is passionate about automation and continuous integration and automatic deployments (continuous delivery) to the cloud. You know your way around a Unix/Linux system pretty well and are familiar with both AWS and Azure cloud technologies. You like integrating and automating anything and everything. You have a solid foundation on what CI/CD is. Your ability to automate and adapt to the ever-changing cloud environment will be critical to product teams' success.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Pro-actively look for ways to improve and streamline build and deployment processes
  • Support continuous integration, automated testing, and automatic deployments
  • Build tools to support best practices
  • Work with other teams to integrate their application with our processes

Requirements:

  • 4+ years in Automation and Build/Release Engineering experience
  • Passionate about automation
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and technical troubleshooting skills
  • Energetic self-starter who is proficient at self-learning new skills and tools
  • Proficiency with AWS or Azure Cloud technologies
  • Strong coding experience with at least 1 of the following procedural languages: Shell, Python, Ruby, or Perl
  • Experience with source control management systems like Perforce, Git. Git is preferred
  • Experience with continuous integration tool: Jenkins, Electric Cloud, etc.
  • Understanding of Pipeline as Code (Jenkinsfile/Groovy)
  • Experience in integrating automated tests and other things into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Experience setting up Unix/Linux build environments in the cloud, configuring and setting up Unix/Linux system. Redhat based Linux systems is preferred.
  • Experience with building images using Packer
  • Experience with a configuration management like Chef or Puppet. Chef is preferred.
  • Experience integrating with other APIs using REST API calls and/or webhooks
  • Great written and verbal communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with other organizations/teams

Nice to Have:

  • Proficiency with modern Ci/CD pipelines such as Spinnaker
  • Proficiency with Google Cloud and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, K8) is a huge plus
  • Experience with using Chef’s testing framework (Inspec, Kitchen, Serverspec)
  • Experience with integrating security test and control into the CI pipeline
