Senior Lease Administrator - Remote Opportunity

In this fully remote position as the Sr. Lease Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible to uphold the integrity of lease portfolio data for complex and non-standard leases. The primary focus is to ensure compliance with current lease provisions for both tenant and landlord obligations. You will need to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external partners, including landlords, their representatives, Field and Facilities leaders, Legal and Finance teams, in support of day-to-day real estate interactions, processing functions and payments related to leases.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for subset of locations across the US, and their lease obligations.
- Drive lease tasks from lease inception to expiration while interpreting lease documents within our Real Estate system, Lucernex.
- Lease date tracking and bill backs to landlord.
- Review monthly rent variance report for accuracy while performing quarterly lease audits on upcoming renewal locations.
- Own landlord facility issues within the company.
- Follow up with landlords and our Facility team on facility issues using our reporting system daily while advancing issues that arise that could adversely impact a lease agreement, operations, or the company’s financial performance.
- Ensuring compliance with current lease provisions for both tenant and landlord.
- Generate reports out of Real Estate system for various tasks and research.
- Partner with Manager for procedure updates for efficiencies, or as tasks change or evolve.
- Assist the Lease Administration team with called out issues such as lease related payments, reconciliations, maintaining lease management software database, and administrative tasks.
Qualifications:
- Eight or more years combined experience in commercial lease/property management, including lease auditing.
- Sophisticated understanding of retail rent structures and extensive knowledge of operating expenses, critical lease dates and options.
- Outstanding knowledge of retail lease agreements and a strong understanding of lease terminology and complex legal positions.
- Familiar with commercial construction, building repair and maintenance terminology and building systems.
- Proactive, analytical, with the ability to prioritize a high volume of tasks driving solutions to problems.
- Effective oral and written communication with proficiency in Microsoft programs (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Strong background in Lucernex or Real Estate database systems
- Confident in building procedures for new tasks while maintaining strong organization skills
- Able to work with partners at all levels with minimal direction.
- Flexible with changing priorities, navigating interruptions and balancing deadlines.
