Additional Information: 

Hourly Pay Rate: $18.00 - $20.00

The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to Manager of Support Functions. Maintains SAP material system data and the planning and execution of material supply orders at quantities that minimize stock outages and freight costs, while maximizing stock turn performance. Ensures actual on hand material quantities match material and financial system balances. Works with warehouse employees to organize /clean warehouse to ensure quality work place appearance and efficient operation. Basic Inventory System Transactions: Issuing, Receiving, Requisition/Order Generation for Direct Material, Cycle Counts Monthly. Reports using internal spreadsheet software as needed.

 

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

•   Maintains SAP system data: Including issues, receipts, review cycle count entries. 35%

•   Daily Performing warehouse activities: Counting organizing and cleaning. 15%

•   Daily Meetings / Special Projects / Plant Support Activities. 20%

•   Daily - Weekly Planning and executing material supply orders. 20%

•   Daily - Weekly Data analysis and reporting. 5%

•   Perform other duties as assigned. 5%

 

EDUCATION

•   High School Diploma or GED (Required)

 

EXPERIENCE

•   1 - 2 years' experience controlling/managing inventory, preferred.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

•   General understanding of inventory terms and principles.

•   Strong math skills. Superior organizational skills and problem solving ability.

•   Ability to work independently in the development and installation of major systems.

 

EQUIPMENT/SOFTWARE UTILIZED

•   Experience using computer, mouse and keyboard.

•   Experience using Microsoft Office.

•   Forklift / Pallet Jack

 

COMMUNICATION AND CONTACTS

Using email/phone to communicate and resolve discrepancies. Direction of Activities/Priorities; Communication of Stock Outages; Inventory Status; Special Projects; Coordinating warehouse activities Plant Employees - Floor Stocking Issues; Inquiries; Order Adjustments; Business Loading / Conversion Project Actions; Discrepancy Resolution Procurement Process: Buyers - Supplier issues; Order inquires for Vendor supplied items Suppliers - Placing Orders, Order Adjustments, Discrepancy Resolution; Requests for Stock 

 

DECISION MAKING

Analysis of inventory management system and reports to determine optimal order quantities (sufficient to prevent outage without excess buffers in support of stock turn goals). Converting general product unit information regarding mass re-issue conversions account loads/losses product introductions and plant support into SAP material forecast. Plan and execute contingency plans in stock outage / overstock situations. Plant Inventory (ultimate responsibility of Plant Accountant); Warehouse pallet jacks and/or fork lifts.
