Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Engineering Intern position is responsible for assisting with quality control of the manufacturing processes and products. The Quality Intern will assist with updating the Quality Management System procedures and processes.  This position will also aid in approving First Articles, supporting paperwork and provide Quality related support to Manufacturing.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

This position has responsibility for:

 

  • Assists with updates and revisions to the Quality Management System procedures and processes in support of ISO 9001:2015.
  • Assist with failure analysis and corrective action reports on reliability and technical issues for both field and internal manufacturing issues.
  • Assist with data analysis on warranty, scrap, and process yield.
  • Enters data into computer database in Oracle, Gage Pack, Salesforce
  • Assist in Failure analysis activities in collaboration with Repair depot.
  • Using input from field data/customers and internal non-conforming material other pertinent sources regarding product quality, to identify the top-quality issues and its impact.
  • Development of Report/metrics using Power BI or equivalent platform

 

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience and Skills)

  • Enrolled in a technical degreed college program and Junior/Senior in Engineering, Manufacturing, Electronics or Quality.
  • Able to commit to a schedule of 20-28 hours/week during the school year. Additional hours during summer and breaks. 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fast learning capability of avionics and military standards.
  • Some working knowledge of complex technical circuits and mechanical designs.
  • Strong decision making, judgment and analytical ability.
  • Good interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills and ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to generate reports using software programs like Word or Excel.

 

Salary Range: $25-30 per hour.

Salary Minimum:  $50,000
Salary Maximum:  $60,000
