Job Description
Position Summary:
Provide Energy Maintenance and Commissioning service to the stores by improving the operating efficiencies of the existing refrigeration, building, and HVAC systems which will enable maintaining better store conditions while using less energy to operate. Responsibilities
- Manage Energy Maintenance Equipment Controls.
- Program Energy Management controllers.
- Install and program Energy Management equipment.
- Modify refrigeration systems operations to run more efficiently while maintaining proper operating temperature.
- Manage the preventative maintenance program.
- Run service calls to assist other technicians.
- Equipment to be worked on include, but is not limited to: refrigerated cases, compressors, condensers, controllers, electric panels, EMS wiring, case wiring, lighting, HVAC systems, hot cases, anti-sweat devices, VSD/VFD.
- Maintain and controls inventory for truck stock.
- Maintain sanitation of work areas to standard.
- Demonstrate the ability and desire to promote, communicate and implement company initiatives and process improvements to direct reports in a positive manner.
- Able to tactfully and calmly handle stressful situations and make a positive impression on associates and customers.
- Be a team player and contribute positively to build team moral.
- Communicate and interact effectively and amicably with the team including other associates, and supervisors and exercise consideration for others.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in the maintenance field or appropriate school training.
- EPA refrigerant license.
- Prior experience with Energy Management equipment
- Prior experience with Refrigeration systems
- Ability to program Energy Management controllers
- Able to enter data.
- Able to travel independently.
- Able to cope with stressful situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form with all levels of management.
- Ability to work weekends and overnights.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point with the ability to learn new computer skills.
- Customer service role model.
- Self-motivated, able to organize, prioritize, plan and meet deadlines.
- Decision maker with problem solving skills.
- Must be professional, dependable, possess positive attitude, good judgment, and be able to gain the support of others to get the job done.
- High level of electrical/mechanical/HVAC skills and experience with all equipment in the stores
- Self-motivated and able to perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Ability to accept change in schedule, steps within a process, and daily functions
