Disaster Case Advocate(Sioux County)
Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field preferred but not required to apply
·Experience in social work and case management, with a strong understanding of FEMA’s Individuals and Households Program (IHP) and Direct Housing Program policies and procedures.
·Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required; must use your own vehicle.
·Ability to work on-site in Iowa and travel to various shelter locations during operating hours.
·Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
·Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations.
· Knowledge of social services resources and support systems.
·Bilingual skills are a plus.
·Proficiency in MS Office applications.
In order to be considered for this position, you must pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) check and your driving record must not indicate any of the following during the past 3 years:
- Punitive suspension, denial, or revocation of driver's license
- Conviction for impaired or intoxicated driving (DWAI, DUI, DWI)
- Conviction of reckless driving, driving with a suspended/denied/revoked license, hit and run or leaving the scene
- Conviction of 3 or more moving violations, at fault accidents or a combination
Standard Schedule:
- This is a temporary assignment expected to last 6-12 months.
- Monday - Friday (8 hours per day)
- Work on the weekend is expected. (On-call)
This position with Tetra Tech is temporary and on an "as needed" basis and will end. It is understood that your employment is to be on an "at will" basis.
