Maintenance Electrician
Position Details:
1st shift, 7am – 3pm, Monday through Friday, and overtime, as needed
Pay range – Up to $34.30 / hour
Eligible for a $2,500 sign on bonus
Benefits start 1st day
2 weeks paid vacation
13 paid holidays
Position Summary:
The primary focus of this position is going to be responsible for preventative maintenance and repair of all electrical equipment and machinery in the facility including motors, transformers, controls, timing devices, VFD's, cabling, and conduits.
Essential Functions:

General maintenance with heightened focus on electrical repair needs.

Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems.

Diagnose electrical issues using testing equipment, identifying faulty components, and repairing or replacing them.

Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams and machinery manuals to diagnose problems, identify parts, and learn proper equipment operation.

Skilled use of electrical tools like multimeters, wire strippers, crimpers, and power tools.

Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance procedures per schedule.

Follow all lock out/tag out processes and disconnects on equipment.

Actively seek to find problems in the assigned area and correct before the problem(s) become critical.

Communicate conditions of equipment by completing appropriate maintenance records within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Ensure safety standards are adhered to at all times.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Abilities:
-
Strong troubleshooting ability.
-
Read and understand electrical schematics, drawings, layouts and other specifications.

Experience with industrial controls, motor control centers, motor starters, and variable frequency drives (VFD's).

PLC experience, a plus.

Proficient in testing electrical systems, wiring, and equipment using an ohmmeter, voltmeter, megger, and oscilloscope.

Experience with AC as well as DC motors and drives.

Keen attention to detail.

Good communication skills, able to interface with machine operators.

Able to follow safety procedures that meet both company, OSHA, NEC standards.

Ability with or without accommodation to work overtime.

Physically capable of performing work from ladders and areal lifts.

Able to complete daily tasks and work orders in our CMMS.

Able to keep your workspace organized and clean of clutter.

Must also be able to communicate effectively, especially when diagnosing problems.
Education & Experience:
-
HS Diploma is preferred, but not required.
-
Minimum of 1 year of industrial electrical experience.
-
Trade certificate is strongly preferred.
