Under general supervision (but works independently most of the time) responsible for handling and processing of routine transactions such as transactions processing, document processing, investor services,, opening new business and maintaining and reviewing documentation on existing accounts. Technically competent to act as first point of reference for day-to-day queries, and serves as a liaison to related areas. Demonstrates excellent analytical, consultative, communication and judgment skills. Assists in preparation of documentation required for audits. Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact.
Major Duties:
1. Responsible for money movement transactions, account maintenance and claim processing to be carried out within pre-defined procedures and guidelines in an accurate and timely manner
2. Developing into subject matter expert in preparation of documentation required for audits within the Banking Ops team
3. Leads projects and/or train staff.
4. Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact
5. Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees
6. More technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areas
7. Delivers a work product that requires less revision
8. Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions
9. Contributes to procedure creation and revisions.
Knowledge:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
- Understanding of Banking procedures and regulations is preferred
- Analytical and problem-solving skills are required
- Understanding of risk mitigation and management practices is preferred
- Be able to work as part of a team with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 products is preferred

Experience:
- A College or University degree and proven Banking Operations work experience is preferred.
Salary Range:
$63,365 - 107,635 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
