Responsibilities:

  • Assist with installing SolidWorks Product Data Management System ("PDM") to help manage SolidWorks files and attach metadata to them. The setup will include defining work flows such as engineering change processes, drawing release, etc.
  • Set-up data input forms (data cards) for various components.
  • Migrate data from a Dropbox account into the PDM.
  • Train others on how to use the PDM.
  • Model parts and assemblies into SolidWorks and put into SolidWorks. 
  • Export Bill of Martials from SolidWorks and work with others to import into JD Edwards. 
  • Perform basic Finite Element Analysis on parts and assemblies with the focus on reducing weight. 
  • Setup motion studies in SolidWorks to verify designs and create content for drawing releases and sales/marketing use.
  • Setup and perform simulations in SolidWorks to look for weight reduction, improve designs and create content for sales/marketing.

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a four-year university engineering or related program.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with multiple business process stakeholders to gather process requirements, create a solution plan, gain buy-in for the solution design, then execute on the design. 

    Additional Job Information:

    • Wage Expectations: $18.50/hour
    • Pay: This is a non-exempt, hourly position and paid on a weekly basis
    • Typical Schedule: Five (5) Eight (8) hour days M-F
