IT Business Analysis

Who we are looking for 

State Street is looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to join State Street Markets Operations Technology team in Boston, Massachusetts to closely collaborate with our business partners across various project workstreams. The role requires System Analyst to work in a collaborative, team-driven environment to implement a front-to-back platform solution and design.  We are looking an experienced Business Analyst to lead the growth charter for our organization. Preferably the candidate should have product level knowledge of Collateral management process. 

What you will be responsible for 

As a Business Systems Analyst, you will: 

• Collaborate and partner with different stakeholders & internal business users to analyze platform requirement and prioritize demand 

• Work with vendor and agile development teams to build application services for Collateral management process 

• Develop business and data requirements including functional specification, user stories, wireframes, traceability matrices, user guides 

• Proactively identify the risks, challenges & impacts of the business uses and guide the team with the strategic roadmaps 

• Collaborate with Business stakeholder, IT/ engineering team members, business users and implementation team along the project lifecycle, understanding the impacts that may have on downstream use cases and data product/process deliverables  

• Create and manage delivery roadmaps, risks and dependencies, track progress. Communicate effectively and provide updates to leadership 

• Establish and maintain strong network relationships with internal/external counterparties 

• Organize and drive meetings. Participate in agile development team as the Technical Product Owner/Business Analyst

• Knowledgeable in Capital Markets, Interest Rates Swaps, Equity Swaps, FX Products 

• Understanding of Operations (middle office) specifically around Collateral Management process 

• Hands-on with producing Business Analysis Artifacts, including BRD, Functional Flows , test cases. 

• Experience working with all stakeholders in Front Office, Middle Office and Operations. 

• Experienced working on Middle Office project implementation and all its major milestones including Analysis, Development, Testing and Release. 

Education & Preferred Qualifications 

• Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills. 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail. 

• Understanding of the development process/cycle. 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

• Ability to navigate JIRA and Confluence docs. 

• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and reporting. 

• 10+ years of experience required 

Additional requirements (Good to have) 

• Participation in agile development working model. 

• Strong knowledge of financial service and related industry practices
