What you will do:
• Safety: exhibit safe work habits in a manufacturing environment, following training. Identify safety risks in design and develop preventative actions, with oversight.
• 3D Modeling: Provide support using SolidWorks to create or modify 3D models
• Drawing Creation & Revision: Provide support using SolidWorks to create or revise drawings.
• Analysis: Use software tools like Excel to organize and analyze large data sets for specifically assigned goals.
• Design: Assist in design plan development, with oversight of existing product lines.
• Continuous Improvement: Assist in implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology. Identify and implement cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas, with oversight. Participate in lean improvement activities as assigned (5S Blitz, Kaizen, etc).
Requirements:
• Completed more than 50% of academic classwork toward engineering degree (mechanical, industrial or manufacturing), including proficiency in drafting/modeling.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask throughout the day.
• Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Preferred
