Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the Elgin Sweeper Service and outside Service Dealer support functions including Warranty, Inside Service, Regional Service Support, and Technical training for dealer network and customers.  
  2. Manage Elgin Sweeper Training to ensure Customers and Dealer Employees are getting the most up to date knowledge and information regarding our products.
  3. Manage Warranty team to ensure compliance of Warranty Management policy/process and reporting.
  4. Manage the Regional Service Support Managers (RSSMs) and coordinate information needed to properly repair product with in-house technical teams/functions.  Monitor and manage policy awards approved by RSSMs. 
  5. Work with RSSMs to assess dealer service capabilities relative to the Elgin and Vactor products in their assigned territories.  Identify gaps and work with Elgin / Vactor dealers to mitigate identified gaps.
  6. Manage campaign process from initiation to final resolution and reporting on Sweepers, including NHTSA related campaigns.  Responsible for the coordination of campaigns and response resolution with Inside Service Manager and Elgin Engineering.
  7. Develop Service and Infant Care training rollout for new products, new product variants and new sweeper technologies to best serve Elgin Sweeper dealers and end customers.  Continue to refine and continuously improve process for best results.
  8. Manage the Elgin Sweeper Service Cloud from a tactical and strategic level.  Identify opportunities to better serve dealer and customers for the purposes of enhancing their experience with Elgin products.  Maintain a Service Cloud development roadmap that includes specific plans as well as potential future opportunities. Execute on opportunities to bring value to Elgin Sweeper and dealer network.
  9. Partner with the Product Managers, Engineering Manager and Elgin Dealers to effectively manage the overall performance of the products relative to identified field opportunities.
  10. Perform other duties, assignments and special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline required.
  • A minimum of five years of vehicle service experience, vehicle repair or related technologies.
  • Experience in service, and maintenance related fields preferably in heavy equipment may be considered.
  • Prior experience with compliance and service campaigns as it relates to NHTSA highly desired.
  • Functional management experience in a service, training or technical field preferred.
  • Excellent product technical skills including thorough understanding of Hydraulic, Electrical, and Mechanical systems as it relates to mobile equipment required.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent leadership capabilities with sound judgement and ability to build and maintain trusted relationships among team members with ability to work independently under general direction.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential, both verbal and written, and able to work within a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills with professional customer handling skills required.
  • Operational experience with electronic service diagnostic tools and systems required.
  • Demonstrated ability in the development of technical information for a non-technical audience preferred.
  • High degree of detail orientation required and ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints to complete work and meet deadlines with accuracy.
  • Daily working knowledge with Microsoft Office suite of products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Windows required.

Anticipated Salary Range: $102,418 - $146,311
