GENERAL SUMMARY OF THE JOB
To assist Production Control Supervisor in providing for effective production planning, inventory control and procurement functions including supplier base development to allow for timely delivery of quality product produced at a competitive cost and/or investment. Includes supporting activities using lean manufacturing tools for the production control, purchasing, inventory planning (excluding Inventory management programs), outside services, traffic management and warehouse functions.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports goals and procedures to allow for product availability as needed while minimizing raw material WIP and finished goods inventories.

WIP lot data cleaning

Investigating Invoices to allow our finance team to process for payment

Invoice error research

Assists with maintenance of accurate inventory reporting systems.

Assists with the activities of the production control department ensuring efficient production scheduling to meet delivery dates effective monitoring of production and collection of shop floor data.

Ensures raw material blanks and washers are available to meet production requirements.

Works as directed with outside services ensuring customer quality specifications service and price requirements are met.

Assists PC Supervisor with the divisional purchasing function assuring corporate policies and procedures are followed.

Assists with the development of divisional procedures to facilitate attainment of procurement objectives.

Supports the PC Supervisor with transportation activities and agreements.

Supports policies relative to carrier selection and freight cost minimization.

Supports and assist PC Supervisor with procedures to identify production demands that significantly vary from available capacity.

Identify bottlenecks in production flow.
Assist manufacturing, sales and divisional management with capacity requirement evaluations and recommendations.
REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of high school diploma or GED
-
Experience working with production planning and inventory control
-
Knowledge of purchasing concepts
-
Effective communication skills
-
Proficient Microsoft Office skills basic problem solving skills ability to identify routine problem causation and correct routine problems.

Willingness to learn new areas of the business.
Preferred:
• Associate’s degree or higher
• Knowledge and use of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma tools
