PPG is looking for an individual who is passionate about digital enterprise architecture specifically service oriented architecture, cloud computing, data strategies and new emerging digital technologies. The role will ensure business requirements are implemented in a fashion that makes sense architecturally. At this level, individuals must demonstrate innovation, creativity, foresight and mature judgment as they anticipate and solve unprecedented business problems, understand program objectives and requirements, guide programs and projects, and have accountability for enterprise architecture supporting PPG’s digital transformation.

• Proven track record demonstrating the ability to work with business, digital and IT teams to understand key business/digital strategy and design a modern and effective digital enterprise architecture that delivers significant business impact.

• A degree preferred in Computer Science or Engineering. Advanced degree preferred.

• Experience working with web application architecture, cloud technologies, big data solutions, AI/ML technologies, data lakes, ESBs, SOA, APIs, PaaS.

• 10+ years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience in IoT, business intelligence and analytics deployments.

• Experience with one of the following big data technologies: Amazon Web Services, Azure Cloud, Google cloud, Data Lake, or Hadoop.

• Experience in enterprise solutions delivering availability, reliability and scalability.

• Experienced as a Technical Solutions Architect (architecture modeling, building block design, applications and role design and systems integration) and has demonstrated experience in leading requirement discussions and setting vision and roadmaps.

• Fluent in continuous delivery, continuous integration and A/B testing.
• Hands-on experience with Agile/Lean Startup methodologies.

• Scientific- computing experience (e.g. R, Matlab, Python, machine learning).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and in taking people along so that they are excited about the ability to create impact through the use of new emerging digital technologies.

• A self-starter who is self-motivated, disciplined, self-assured, performance driven and passionate and most importantly one who always finds a viable path forward technologically and never says “we can’t do that”.
