Ideal candidates would: Be fluent in Spanish and English Be a Maryland or Virginia licensed attorney, or registered to take the bar exam Have 1-2 years of experience in immigration law, especially: Defensive asylum applications, I-130s and I-485s, I-601 and I-601A waivers, SIJS Be able to manage own docket with limited supervision, managing cases from initiation to completion Possess strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills Be comfortable zealously advocating for clients before immigration judges and officials
