The Marketing Coordinator will plan, coordinate, and implement onsite event and sales activities, and handle multiple/simultaneous projects for Shentel & Glo Fiber markets to ensure that sales and branding objectives are accomplished.
They will activate, execute, and develop local demand and lead generation programs that extend and complement Shentel an Glo Fiber marketing initiatives.
The Marketing Coordinator works with the sales and marketing teams to provide marketing programs and tools to maximize revenue opportunities.
Job Description:
- Research, budget, plan, and execute local grassroots events in our key marketing areas to support Glo Fiber and Shentel.
- Work directly with the sales team to support sales events in the field.
- Working with your marketing manager, create and implement evergreen collateral materials for local events.
- This position will be the main contact for all local events, both marketing and sales oriented, and will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, to ensure all events are executed smoothly.
- Compile and report key findings for all events. Including but not limited to sales leads and consumer participation.
- Monitor and report on specific sales progress of key base management projects.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Glo Fiber and Shentel Communications in the field.
- Additional data analytic projects as assigned by the marketing manager.
- This position requires travel in a large territory for event, including some overnights and weekends.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
- 2+ years of experience planning, developing, and executing marketing events
- Experience conducting grassroots marketing efforts
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem solving skills
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze market and sales data and produce relevant reports and trends
- Project Management skills including independent management of several projects at a time
- Ability to speak comfortably in front of small to mediums size audiences
- Strong knowledge and understanding of new social media and digital platforms as they are developed
- Ability to set up event space and move required materials as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree in related field preferred
- Valid Driver’s License & clean driving record required
