What You’ll Be Doing:
Leave Administration
- Build strong internal relationships through day-to-day administration of KPFF’s Leaves of Absence programs, providing expert guidance and support to managers and employees.
- Collaborate with local Benefits Administrators, the Payroll and Benefits team, and KPFF’s third-party leave administrator to ensure accurate and timely review of claims and changes impacting employee benefit deductions and coverage.
- Educate local offices on leave processes and create internal procedures and training guides for employees.
- Monitor, research, and communicate updates of federal and state leave regulations.
Benefits and HRIS
- Respond to benefits inquiries and approve enrollments in Paycom HRIS, ensuring the accuracy of employee information.
- Contribute to annual Open Enrollment and the design of materials to enhance understanding of the KPFF’s benefits package.
- Conduct ongoing audits of benefit plan deductions.
- Process, audit, and reconcile monthly and quarterly billing for benefit providers.
- Provide support for KPFF’s HRIS, testing new features and leveraging data to inform Benefits strategy.
Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with the Benefits and Payroll teams regarding compliance and updates to the Paycom HRIS.
- Foster teamwork with other internal General & Administrative (G&A) teams.
- Participate in ongoing professional development.
- Ensure thorough and up-to-date documentation of all processes, offering resources to empower stakeholders and promote a proactive approach to compliance at KPFF.
Qualifications
Who We’re Looking For:
- 3 -5 years of experience supporting a variety of benefits and leave processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- Experience with HRIS platform (Paycom experience is a plus).
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for data analysis and communication
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative without close supervision, identify opportunities for process improvement, and implement effective solutions.
- Proven track record of completing projects and tasks with high accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring all aspects are thoroughly addressed and deadlines are consistently met.
- Strong ability to work well with various stakeholders, fostering positive relationships and effective collaboration.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while maintaining high quality.
- Proactively solve problems, leveraging strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Uphold professionalism consistently by handling sensitive information with discretion and integrity
- Thrive independently and in teams, showcasing adaptability and initiative in fast-paced environments.
Additional Information
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Duties are typically performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table
- Ability to actively engage with a computer for several hours per day and communicate over the telephone or virtual meeting platforms.
- May occasionally need to lift items up to 15 lbs.
- Work in the downtown Seattle office up to 5 days/week, with flexible work hours between 7 am and 5 pm

Compensation:
The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, and skills. The expected range for a qualified candidate with 3 - 5 years of experience is $70,000 to $80,000. Additionally, we offer performance-based bonuses to recognize and reward outstanding contributions in each Reporting Center. During the interview process, we'll provide detailed information and address any questions you may have about the overall compensation package and benefits.
