Senior Benefits Administator 
 

We are looking for Sr Benefits Specialist for our Schaumburg IL facility. The Senior Benefits Administrator administers, communicates and implements all US employee benefit programs and leave of absences for Oerlikon employees.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and administer a variety of benefit programs, including medical, vision, dental, life, and retirement.
• Supports in managing employee leaves such as FMLA, state leaves or any other company leave policies.
• Act as a liaison with brokers and vendors, facilitating plan design, issue resolution, and benefit program management.
• Partner with HR Shared Services and Finance for integration files, audits, and reconciliations.
• Organize and develop company-wide Wellbeing program.
• Works with stake holders including HR, Recruiting and Leadership to promote Oerlikon’s benefit plans.
• Review, approve, and process benefits invoices, ensuring timely and accurate premium payments.
• Provide guidance on complex benefit situations and resolving employee benefit issues and escalating to benefit brokers when necessary.
• Assist in planning and coordinating benefits renewal and enrollment processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide guidance to HR operations as required to address employee benefit plan issues and promote plan utilization.
• Plan and support company-wide enrollment activity including the creation of annual o pen enrollment sessions, distribution of benefit materials, and monitoring enrollment status.
• Manage benefit compliance including 5500 filings, FSA discrimination testing, ACA reporting, and HIPPA required notices.
• Successful and timely annual open enrollment process
• Oerlikon is compliant with all required benefit testing and notices
• Benefit utilization remains consistent or greater and doesn’t sharply decrease

Your Profile:

• 5 – 8 year of Benefit Administration experience, including experience in managing open enrollment processes, leave management and annual compliance audits.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, Business Administration, or related filed required
• Experience in managing employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and disability insurance.
• Knowledge of employment benefit laws and regulations (e.g., ACA, COBRA, HIPPA, Section 125, Medicare, FLMA, and ADA).
• Prior experience with SAP Successfactors system; knowledge of ADP WorkforceNow benefits module a plus.
• Superior interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact in a professional manner with colleagues at all levels across the organization.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365 and other standard computer applications.
• Effective planning and priority setting.  The ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously.
• Position is remote, but must be within reasonable driving distance to Schaumburg, Illinois.

Oerlikon is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position, which is $90,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year. Some positions within Oerlikon may also offer eligibility to participate in a discretionary incentive program. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for the role will be based on a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, internal equity, job location, work experience, education, training, certifications, licenses, etc. Therefore, as compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each individual, it is likely that not all applicants will be hired at the highest end of the listed compensation range. Our total compensation package goes beyond base compensation and it will include a competitive benefits package starting with 2 weeks paid time off accrued on a monthly basis, 12 holidays, 48 hours personal/sick time (exception for NY where we follow State law,) medical, dental, vision, 401K, holidays, pet insurance and tuition reimbursement all effective day one of hire.
