Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Plant Director, the incumbent has primary responsibility for the support operations of the Plant. This position has responsibility for one or more of the following areas: Inventory (including off-site warehouse, if applicable), Logistics, Mail Operations, Finance, Facility and Equipment Maintenance, networks and systems management, Safety and Security, and administrative support functions. The individual will be responsible for compliance with manufacturing and non-manufacturing policies & procedures, financial and non-financial measurement, and reporting. The individual will develop, implement, and sustain process improvement initiatives throughout the organization extending to suppliers and customers and utilizing lean manufacturing methodology. Will be responsible for leading, training, motivating, and the overall performance of support operations staff.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maximizes operational efficiency consistent with desired growth. Reviews production costs and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of location. 10%
  • Develops and leads TPM programs and initiatives. Tracks and improves equipment reliability. 10%
  • Conducts management meetings to establish, delineate, and review program organizational policies. Coordinate functions and operations between departments and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives. 10%
  • Analyze monthly results using the SAP system comparing actual costs to budget and make recommendations to management regarding actions necessary to meet financial goals. 10%
  • Coordinate internal control process to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the financial data and processes to include fixed assets payroll inventory billing external vendor invoices and all daily SAP transactions. 10%
  • Oversees the adherence to company programs and processes and leads the deployment of company or manufacturing initiatives that contribute to embedding and maintaining the Performance Excellence culture. 10%
  • Provides leadership to support operations in accordance with the Harland Clarke Work System and lean manufacturing methodologies. Facilitates the development of direct reports. Collaborates with Manufacturing Managers and Process Quality Manager to provide support to their areas. 25%
  • Highly proficient in a broad range of activities. Work independently within established procedures associated with the specific job functions. 5%
  • Champions inventory logistics, mail operations, finance facility operations, equipment maintenance, and administrative support in accordance with policies principles, and procedures. Develops plans for efficient use of materials technology methods and employees. Works directly with suppliers and logistics clients. 10%

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in Business or related field.

EXPERIENCE: Models exceptional leadership behaviors. Able to balance the needs of the business, the customer, and the employees. Four to six years of manufacturing management experience. Strong leadership skills. Able to manage all employees. Able to manage multiple processes. Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills required. Conflict resolution, and employee relations skills required. Analytical and financial analysis skills required. Accounting is a big piece of this position.

EQUIPMENT/SOFTWARE UTILIZED: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of SAP software desired.

COMMUNICATION AND CONTACTS: Communication with all plant personnel internal/external customers and vendors.

DECISION MAKING: Succession planning, employee relations, actions to satisfy customer requirements, quality reporting, staffing, technology changes, and process improvement.

OTHER: Supervisory Responsibilities: Direct responsibility for Plant Accountant, Mail Operations Leaders, Logistics Coordinator, Inventory Coordinator, and other administrative support positions.

Additional Information

Salary: $70,600 -$75,000

Management Bonus Plan 8%

The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
